Just to make this official, according to the Part III termly form questions:

My Part III advisor loves me. Termly interviews: in and out in under thirty seconds. I will be starting at RealVNC (here) starting from August 1.

For once in my miserable life I have written something down which was not CompSci or emo theology, but alas, I put it in letters and started sending them to my family this week. So, the usual fare of the blog will continue. I wrote about the choir, with its many things recently, mathmo socialising, the Truth main event, houseparty, and more.

As a reward: Nigel, my singing teacher, has various diction excercises, like singing scales on ‘Plunged, ditched’ or ‘Four fifths, five sixths’ where the aim is to match and contrast the intonation of the voiced consonants with unvoiced, and get the ‘ksθs’ right. You may not have spotted it, but I found a better one in one of last week’s blog posts, where I genuinely used ‘seventhsth’.
